Government doesn’t know how many children are forced into faith schoolsView 'show.description' not found
The government has said it has no estimate of how many children are effectively forced into faith schools, or left unable to attend their local school because of religious discrimination, in England.
Schools minister Nick Gibb made the admission in response to questions from Conservative MP Crispin Blunt in parliament last week.
The National Secular Society, which coordinates the No More Faith Schools campaign, has described the government's response to the questions as "inadequate".
